Your Vision Statement and Values

Are you stuck or did you quit?

If you are a business owner, you are already a visionary. Whether you’re still in the development phase of your business or have been in business for years, understanding your vision can infuse new enthusiasm into your actions.

You cannot build without a blueprint, so your vision statement is going to serve as your blueprint.

Establish your vision and make sure you communicate it well. Your content is your brand is your content.

“Write the Vision and make it plain”

Unless the work you do and products you build are so amazingly beautiful or outstanding that they drive the market through sheer remarkability, whatever your business model, your content is your flagship product.

And like every effort to build an audience, it starts with getting to know yourself.

Your values are already driving your business decisions you probably just have not articulated them yet.

Good news: your company already has values.

They're at the core of why you do what you do, and how you do it, but chances are you haven't pinned them to the cork board yet.

Clearly defining your Purpose, Vision, Mission, Values, and Measures will help your team understand what you’re trying to achieve.

Here's an exercise that may help:
1. List your products/services
2.Translate these into the benefits they deliver to your customers
3. Now look at those benefits - which are uniquely observed in your work compared with that of your competition? (honestly)
4. For each unique benefit, write down a correlating principle - a why - that makes this integral to your work.

Soar though your process and be a champion.

This is an excerpt of my book, The Soar Path.  In this chapter we cover
